Losar Festival
There remains a three-day celebration of the Buddhist New year at the month end of February. It is widely known as the Losar festival in our region. On this occasion, people gather in a group and make it enjoyable with some programs like singing and dancing. We actually welcome the spring and New year that would be filled with joy and prosperity and say adieu to all the evils of last year. We feel pleased to organize this event and to see people taking part with great joy.
World Health Day
The day of 7 April is known as “world health day”. It is being celebrated in our community to spread awareness of the importance of health. We try to spread awareness among all communities and make them understand the importance of health. Starting from giving free health camps to serving the poor people through healthcare facilities, we celebrate the day with special importance and significance. “Phendei Jungne Welfare Development Society,” thinks “world health day” is the best occasion to spread awareness about healthcare.
Buddhist Cultural Festivals
Ramacamp is a small village in West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh. Every year a festival called the Buddhist Cultural festival is celebrated there. Our main intention is to preserve the old cultural heritage. On this occasion, people take part in cultural programs and they feel enriched by the experience of being integrated, morals are expressed and local traditions are preserved.
Buddha Jayanti
Buddha Jayanti holds huge importance in Buddhism and as the name is suggested it is being celebrated to honor lord Gautam buddha. understanding the significance of the day we celebrate it on a full moon day in May with all our members. Buddha Jayanti holds a special place in the lives of the members of “Phendei Jungne Welfare Development Society”
